In 2013 the Chevy Cruze’s of the factory-backed team were dominating the WTCC. Remember the blue train in front? They have left the WTCC, but now Citroen has joined and after intensive testing in winter time they already are dominating the 2014 WTCC top class, with 1, 2 and 3 in the championship, followed by the two Honda’s.
I wonder if it’s fair to the other competitors in the TC1 class to compete with them without having the same level of budget and support. In the Le Mans series there are different classes for Profesionals and Amateurs and different levels of cars. Maybe WTCC should consider to add another level TC1-F with all factory-backed drivers. So the non-factory-backed drivers can have their own championship in the TC1 class.
